PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience

The course begins with a theory session in class and is followed by a practical training session in our purpose-built dive pool. This will ensure that when we take the first plunge into the ocean later in the day, you are a confident and happy diver!

Cape Town has a number of sites where novice divers will feel safe and in control. Your first shore dive later in the day, is under the full supervision of a qualified PADI dive instructor, as you experience the sensation of being weightless and explore the kelp forests.

The Discover Scuba Diving experience teaches everything you need for a quick and easy introduction to the beauty that lies under water and the certification you receive lasts for a year, during this period you can dive under supervision of a PADI Divemaster to a maximum depth of 12m!

Your scuba training takes place in a specialised dive facility in Kommetjie (only 30 mins from Cape Town). Their purpose-built pool gives divers the opportunity to learn in a safe but dynamic environment, and at your own pace.

The Centre has all the facilities that you will need including 2 classrooms, changing rooms, out side showers,a refreshment area, sundeck and of course the purpose-built dive pool. Plenty of parking is available at the centre for those driving (detailed directions will be given when you make your booking) and we also offer return transport from Cape Town central if needed.

There are a number of establishments that can provide accommodation in this beautiful area, should you decide to stay overnight.

If you decide that you would like to obtain a certification for life you can spend an extra day and do the Padi Scuba diver course or spend an extra 3 days and do the full Padi Open Water course.Your Discover Scuba Experience counts towards both courses and Discover Scuba students receive a discount!

Minimum age for this course is 10 years and no experience is required.
