See all the major attractions in Cape Town and its surrounds on a Cape Peninsula Day Tour with Shark Zone. Whether you choose the full day or the half day tour, you will be able to see many of the Cape’s major attractions within a short window of time. Take a look at some of the highlights of a Cape Peninsula Tour with Shark Zone below.
Cape Peninsula Tour – Half Day
The Half Day Cape Peninsula Tour can be done in the morning or afternoon. Our morning trip departs daily between 8 am and 9 am, and our afternoon tour departs between 1 pm and 2 pm. Highlights of the day include:
Clifton, Camps Bay, Bakoven, and Twelve Apostles
The half-day tour starts along the Atlantic Seaboard and Cape Town’s Riviera from Clifton to Camps Bay. The palm-lined beaches, azure-blue sea, and sweeping mountain views make this one of the most beautiful parts of the Cape Peninsula.
However, we recommend a full-day Cape Peninsula tour as there is too much to see.
Hout Bay and Chapman’s Peak
From Camps Bay, you will continue to enjoy the coastline past Bakoven and Llundudno towards the Hout Bay Harbour. Here you can enjoy a walk on the beach and explore the picturesque harbour, market, and restaurants. Leaving Hout Bay, you will go over famous Chapman’s Peak Drive for one of the most scenic drives in the world.
Cape Point
After a stop at Boulders Beach to see a colony of African penguins, we then head to the famous Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Situated on the rugged slopes of a peninsula that rises out of the ocean, you are guaranteed beautiful views of the lush mountains and turbulent ocean below. A trip to Cape Town wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Cape Point.
Cape Peninsula Tour – Full Day
Additional highlights to a full day Cape Peninsula Tour include a visit to the legendary Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and a short boat trip in Hout Bay to visit a large colony of Cape fur seals. We usually recommend you visit the Kirstenbosch Gardens another day when you are free, as you don’t really have the time needed to explore all the garden has to offer.
Other additions can include a swim with the penguins at Boulders Beach and a wine tasting experience in the Constantia wine valley. We will also stop for lunch at a restaurant of the group’s choosing along the way.
A full or half-day Cape Peninsula Tour is the perfect way to see lots of the Cape in a short amount of time. If you think it might be the perfect addition to a holiday in Cape Town, get in touch with us at info@sharkzone.co.za / +27 078 977 6774 or on our website.
